Yes, we did survive the holidays but just barely. Started out great, had a little snow kids went sledding, watched movies, got things ready for Christmas. Christmas Eve had the Hootons over, kids had a great time playing. We played all the new games we got including the wii. We ate lots of food. Clara that day complained of earache I gave her some medicine and didn't think much of it.
Christmas day we had the whole day to ourselves. Clara was sick in bed all day running high fever. She opened her presents but that was about it. We had fondue and watched movies and played games all day. Friday morning we had the ice storm and everything was a sheet of ice. Clara was still very sick decided to take her to immediate care because my sister and family were due in town for the weekend. Things moved slow all over town including the clinic after 4 hours they told us she had pneumonia in her right lung and needed to go to the hospital. We then took her to the hospital. Clara could not even walk on her own. We had a rough night and Sat. was not much better. Thank goodness my family was around to help watch the other kids. She got to come home Sunday night was still pretty sick until about Friday/Saturday. Today she is feeling much better and getting stir crazy from being inside so much.
Maybe things this week will back to normal whatever that is!!
At least the kids go back to school :)
